맥심 MAX32660 디자인 컨테스트     # 참여한 내용 저장 시리얼 이더넷 경량 IoT 게이트웨이의 기능은 다양한 소형 기기에서 발생하는 시리얼 데이터를 인터넷에 사용하는 이더넷 (TCP/IP) 패킷으로 변환해 주는 것이다 . 물론 그 반대의 동작도 할 수 있다 . 이 기능으로 인해 기존의 많은 레거시 소형 기기들이 하드웨어와 펌웨어 ( 소프트웨어 ) 의 변경없이 바로 IoT 기기로 활용할 수 있는 장점이 있다 . 마침 이번의 MAXIM EVSYS 보드의 경우 , 양쪽 핀에 각각 SPI 와 UART 를 쉽게 활용할 수 있도록 배치되어 있어 SPI 로 TCP/IP 를 처리할 수 있는 WIZnet 의 W5500 과 Ethernet Magjack 이 포함된 모듈과 연결하고 , UART 쪽은 외부 시리얼 디바이스와 연결할 수 있는 인터페이스 정도만 연결한다면 , 아주 단순하고 간단하게 이 기능을 구현해 볼 수 있다 . 또한 , MAXIM 의 장점인 저전력 기능과 CortexM4 의 고성능까지 활용하여 다양한 IoT 인터넷 클라우드 솔루션과 연결할 수 있는 기능까지 지원하도록 펌웨어를 디자인 한다면 , 경쟁력 있는 소형의 시리얼 이더넷 게이트웨이의 탄생이 기대된다 .
